B.R. Malhotra's Testimony on Sahaja Yoga and Shri Mataji's Healing Power

Summary of B.R. Malhotra's Testimony on Sahaja Yoga and Shri Mataji's Healing Power:

B.R. Malhotra, an industrialist, shares his life-changing experience with Shri Mataji and Sahaja Yoga. In 1982, he was scheduled for a bypass surgery, with top cardiologists confirming the need. However, after meeting Shri Mataji at a Rotary conference and then again in Pune, he received Self-Realization and was completely healed — so much so that doctors could not believe his medical reports.

He narrates several similar cases:

  • His friend Rahul Bajaj avoided heart surgery after meeting Shri Mataji.

  • His cousin Vaid Malhotra, with limited means, was healed through Sahaja Yoga and avoided surgery altogether.

  • A judge in Pune, who was deaf, regained his hearing instantly after Shri Mataji touched his ear.

B.R. Malhotra emphasizes that Sahaja Yoga is about direct personal experience, not blind faith, and only a true seeker can receive its full benefits. He also mentions that since his healing, he went from taking 16–20 tablets daily and working a few hours to working 18–20 hours a day in full health.

The testimony highlights the miraculous healing power of Shri Mataji and the transformative potential of Sahaja Yoga through Self-Realization and inner awakening.

REFERENCE:

Dear friends, I hope most of you know me, I am B.R. Malhotra, I am having a factory here called Wakefield Products Company. I think I have met you a couple of times in some of the press conferences.

The question is not of proving any faith or proving anything in Sahaja Yoga. It is an experience. Please note it — and experience can only be had by a seeker who is a true seeker. It cannot be taken by every Tom, Dick, and Harry who just feels he should get realization, should see God, and he can see it. He has to be a true seeker first. We cannot take every person on the street and say, "Please, have it." No.

If tomorrow Hitler comes and says, “Give me realization, otherwise…” No! I would like to tell you my own case.

In 1982, I met Mataji in Delhi at one of the Rotary district conferences. I had never met Her before and I was about to leave for my bypass surgery. Everything was set. Dr. Modi, Dr. Grant, Dr. Dorai Raj — these three cardiologists were attending to me. Jaslok Hospital had done all the required tests, and they had fixed my surgery in Houston for 15th January 1982.

That year, winter was severe, so I postponed it to 15th February.

On 17th January, I was in Delhi and attended the Rotary District Conference where Shri Mataji was the speaker in the second plenary session. The conference was inaugurated by Giani Zail Singh. On that day, I met Her. She spoke about Kundalini awakening. Being a critical mind, I thought it was not possible to avoid surgery.

But friends, I’m telling you — I met Her again in Pune after five days, and in one sitting, I was completely cured. So much so that when my old reports were compared with new ones by top cardiologists like Dr. Goyal and Dr. Nhatubhai Shah, they said, “These previous papers are not yours.” This is an experience — can anyone prove it? Except the one who undergoes it.

And there are so many others. For example, my friend Rahul Bajaj got an attack in Delhi. He knew my case, phoned me, and said he wanted to meet Mataji. Luckily, I don’t know how, but on that very day, he was in Bombay en route to Australia from London. I took him to Mataji. She looked at him and said, “You are cured.” He said, “No, I will still go to America and get tested.” When he got checked up, he was told there was no need for an operation. He was very angry. “Who sent you here?”

Now, let me tell you another case — my cousin in Delhi. He had never met Mataji. Three years ago, he had a severe heart attack. He works in a government office with a meager salary of ₹1200–₹1500. He was advised bypass surgery. While I was in Delhi, someone asked if I could assist him with ₹30,000–₹40,000. I said I don’t mind and arranged for him at Batra Hospital.

But I asked him, “Do you really want to go for the operation? Do you know my case?” He said, “I’ve heard but don’t know details.” I explained my case — it took me half an hour — and told him, “Mataji is not here, but you will have to come to the center.”

Mataji often got angry with me for bringing patients to Her. She said, “Why do you bring patients to me? You have got realization — give them realization.” But I cannot see a person in misery and stay away. Even if Mataji is a bit annoyed, I’d rather take that than ignore someone in real need.

This boy, Vaid Malhotra, is in Delhi. I asked him to come to Dr. Talwar Nursing Home — one of the best in Delhi. Dr. Talwar is a devotee of Mataji. He became a devotee after his own experience — he was going blind and was cured.

I asked Vaid to come at 5:30. I would also be there. Later, Vaid got another attack and was admitted to the Institute of Medical Sciences. I asked Dr. Talwar what was to be done. Dr. Talwar said, “When you know Sahaja Yoga, you’ll understand that even sitting here, we can feel what’s wrong in another person.”

He said it was an attack but Vaid would recover and return. And he did. Within 7 days, he was discharged. I went to him in the hospital and said, “Please go to Dr. Talwar now.”

Now who can prove this? Go to Vaid Malhotra and ask him. He saved ₹50,000, he is cheerful, happy, healthy. He writes to me: “Please tell me when Mataji is coming. I just want Her blessings.” Because even without Her physical presence, just sitting before Her photograph, he received his realization.

These are experiences — not just one, but hundreds. One more — a judge in Pune came for breakfast at my home. He was completely deaf. I requested Mataji, as he used to meet me daily at the swimming pool. She came, casually put Her hand over his ear while talking to us, and after a moment, removed Her hand.

Suddenly, the judge said, “I can hear.” He was stunned. These are all real-life experiences in Sahaja Yoga.

Since I met Mataji in 1982, I went from taking 16–20 tablets a day and working only 4–6 hours to working 18–20 hours a day. Thank you very much

Gagangiri Maharaj and his meeting with Shri Mataji

The Divine Shield of Light - Angapur Stone Pelting Incident

The Divine  Shield of Light - Angapur Stone Pelting Incident An extraordinary incident took place in Angapur, near Brahmapuri. A public program was being held in the open, with a stage set up next to a bus stand. As soon as the program began, a group from Andhra Pradesh arrived and started hurling stones at the stage. At that moment, Shri Mataji was seated on the stage, and behind Her were all of us—the musicians and the video team. My immediate reflex was to rush forward and stand in front of Shri Mataji, hoping to shield Her from the stones. But the moment I did, She gently moved me aside. This happened two or three times. Then I thought to myself, “What should I do now? How can I protect Shri Mataji?” In desperation, I prayed: “Please tell me, how should we protect You?” At that very moment, I caught a glimpse of Her Virata form. I saw a radiant, effulgent wall of light, within which were seated the deities and goddesses. As the stones flew toward Her, they struck that luminous ...

Sri Baba Mama brother of Shree Mataji, "My Memoirs"

An Extract from the book written by Sri Baba Mama brother of Shree Mataji, "My Memoirs" :  In August 1942, my father was in jail and the family was under financial stress. At such a juncture, Shri Mataji, who was studying in the Science College, decided to stop Her college on the 15th of August, our Independence Day, by picketing in front of the gate. My mother, though very conservative, did not object to Her political activity. As a protest, Shri Mataji decided to picket in front of Her college and stop all the students who were trying to enter.  The Principal of the college was a good friend of the family, but he got orders from the British authorities to rusticate anybody who picketed or disobeyed the college rules. Mr. Krishnamurti, who was vice principal, was asked to go and persuade Shri Mataji to stop and to say that if She did not stop picketing, She would be given a college-leaving certificate. In those days, rustication meant that you could not seek admission i...
