The Miracles at Ganapatipule

 The Miracles at Ganapatipule

Summary::

In the early 1980s, during a trip with Shri Mataji to Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, a group of Sahaja Yogis visited the sacred Ganesha temple at Ganapatipule. This temple, located by the sea, houses a powerful swayambhu (a naturally formed stone emitting divine vibrations), which Shri Mataji confirmed radiated strong energy.

After visiting the temple, the group went to the seashore where Shri Mataji performed a miracle with the ocean waves. As She walked in different directions, the waves followed Her movements—south, then north—and even stopped completely when She stood still. To remove all doubt, She repeated the phenomenon again.

Later, while waiting at Jaigad for the ferry, after sunset, Shri Mataji performed another miracle. Pointing toward the direction of the Ganesha temple, She asked the group to observe. Slowly, a massive, radiant cylindrical beam of light rose from the earth into the sky—emitting divine energy from the swayambhu of Shri Ganesha. The light remained visible for ten minutes until Shri Mataji said She would stop it—and it vanished.

These events profoundly demonstrated Shri Mataji's divine connection with nature and the elemental powers, and left the Sahaja Yogis deeply awed and transformed.

‘In the early 1980’s, seven Sahaja Yogis and I went with Shri Mataji to do a public programme in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra some way south of Mumbai. After the programme was finished, we were to catch a ferry back to Mumbai.

I told Shri Mataji there was a Ganesha temple close by, on the sea shore, at Ganapatipule, so we all packed into cars and went to see it. This temple is at sea level and sometimes the sea enters it at high tide. Shri Mataji entered the temple, where one swayambhu was, to check the vibrations and told us this swayambhu was very powerful. A swayambhu is a stone, or statue, which has come out of the earth and radiates vibrations naturally. Shri Mataji spoke about the swayambhu and then we went to paddle in the sea, to clear the lower chakras within each of us.

“Now I am going to show you a miracle. Look out over the ocean and tell me - what you see?” She said.

“We see the waves all coming in our direction.”

“Now watch. I will change the direction of the waves,” said Shri Mataji. She walked towards the south and the waves all went in that direction and followed Her. Then She walked north and the waves all went that way. When She stood still, the waves also stood still as if waiting for the next instruction.

“You may be having doubts, and thinking that the wind is doing this, so I will show you again.”

She then did everything all over again. After this we went back to Jaigad to wait for the ferry, and by this time the sun had set.

“Now I will show you all another miracle,” said Shri Mataji. “The Ganesha temple is in that direction,” She pointed. “Do you see anything over there?”

“No, we can’t see anything,” we all said.

Shri Mataji asked us to look again. As we looked, we could see, slowly appearing, a huge cylindrical circle of light, as if thousands of volts were coming out of Mother Earth and going straight up into the heavens.

“There is no other light around here, and that light is coming from the Ganesha temple,” She said. “This light will not stop until I tell it to. It is coming from the swayambhu of Shri Ganesha and I am taking it out.”

Shri Mataji then asked us if we all had seen this light, and if so she would stop it. When all the Sahaja Yogis had seen it She said She would stop it, and it did stop. It was there for about ten minutes.’

Gagangiri Maharaj and his meeting with Shri Mataji

The Divine Shield of Light - Angapur Stone Pelting Incident

The Divine  Shield of Light - Angapur Stone Pelting Incident An extraordinary incident took place in Angapur, near Brahmapuri. A public program was being held in the open, with a stage set up next to a bus stand. As soon as the program began, a group from Andhra Pradesh arrived and started hurling stones at the stage. At that moment, Shri Mataji was seated on the stage, and behind Her were all of us—the musicians and the video team. My immediate reflex was to rush forward and stand in front of Shri Mataji, hoping to shield Her from the stones. But the moment I did, She gently moved me aside. This happened two or three times. Then I thought to myself, “What should I do now? How can I protect Shri Mataji?” In desperation, I prayed: “Please tell me, how should we protect You?” At that very moment, I caught a glimpse of Her Virata form. I saw a radiant, effulgent wall of light, within which were seated the deities and goddesses. As the stones flew toward Her, they struck that luminous ...

Sri Baba Mama brother of Shree Mataji, "My Memoirs"

An Extract from the book written by Sri Baba Mama brother of Shree Mataji, "My Memoirs" :  In August 1942, my father was in jail and the family was under financial stress. At such a juncture, Shri Mataji, who was studying in the Science College, decided to stop Her college on the 15th of August, our Independence Day, by picketing in front of the gate. My mother, though very conservative, did not object to Her political activity. As a protest, Shri Mataji decided to picket in front of Her college and stop all the students who were trying to enter.  The Principal of the college was a good friend of the family, but he got orders from the British authorities to rusticate anybody who picketed or disobeyed the college rules. Mr. Krishnamurti, who was vice principal, was asked to go and persuade Shri Mataji to stop and to say that if She did not stop picketing, She would be given a college-leaving certificate. In those days, rustication meant that you could not seek admission i...
