Progress of Sahaja Yoga - Experiential Treatise

Progress of Sahaja Yoga

 Chapter 3

Use of Vibrational Awareness

Mr Phadke practiced a deep form of vibrational testing:

  • Achieving thoughtless awareness.
  • Using bandhan (protective energy loop).
  • Comparing vibrations from a letter and a spiritual figure.
  • Receiving confirmation through cool vibrations from Shri Mataji’s photograph.

This method reflects Sahaja Yoga’s unique mechanism of distinguishing truth from falsehood without mental analysis, relying instead on the subtle body’s response.

🔹 Sanyas and Hidden Identities

The revelation that Dr. Joshi and Swami Bhondunand were the same person adds a powerful twist, demonstrating how the subtle system can uncover hidden realities. Your ability to identify him through chakra vibrations alone, without prior knowledge, validated the depth of your spiritual sensitivity.

The fact that Shri Rahul was aware of the truth but was testing Mr Phadke, reflects how spiritual training in Sahaja Yoga often includes inner verification, not just blind acceptance.

🔹 The Role of Thoughtlessness

experience illustrates that true discernment comes only in the absence of thought—a key Sahaja Yoga principle. The vibrational truth is accessible only when the ego and superego are quiet, and the kundalini energy is awakened and active.

🔹 The “Greatest Miracle of Kali Yuga”

Closing sentiment — that this vibrational discernment is “the greatest miracle of Kali Yuga” — aligns with the broader Sahaja Yoga understanding. In a time of confusion, false gurus, and spiritual decline, the ability to feel truth on one's own central nervous system is seen as a divine gift.

Sri Baba Mama brother of Shree Mataji, "My Memoirs"

An Extract from the book written by Sri Baba Mama brother of Shree Mataji, "My Memoirs" :  In August 1942, my father was in jail and the family was under financial stress. At such a juncture, Shri Mataji, who was studying in the Science College, decided to stop Her college on the 15th of August, our Independence Day, by picketing in front of the gate. My mother, though very conservative, did not object to Her political activity. As a protest, Shri Mataji decided to picket in front of Her college and stop all the students who were trying to enter.  The Principal of the college was a good friend of the family, but he got orders from the British authorities to rusticate anybody who picketed or disobeyed the college rules. Mr. Krishnamurti, who was vice principal, was asked to go and persuade Shri Mataji to stop and to say that if She did not stop picketing, She would be given a college-leaving certificate. In those days, rustication meant that you could not seek admission i...

Gagangiri Maharaj and his meeting with Shri Mataji

Interesting story about the importance of foot soak

*Interesting story about the importance of foot soak* *Walking in the streets of Rome (Recollections - Volume 2)* In 1982 Shri Mataji went to Rome to hold some public meetings, and I decided I would jump on a train and travel from London to help. It so happened that I was the only English person to go and I was very blessed and honoured to be invited to stay in the very same flat as Shri Mataji, and on several occasions we went shopping for marble and pictures etc. On one occasion whilst walking through the cobbled streets of Rome Shri Mataji’s steps became very laboured, as though She was dragging a heavy weight. We wondered what could be the cause of this obvious discomfort to our Holy Mother.  She explained that there were hundreds of souls hanging onto Her legs begging for redemption. She also told us that it is for this same reason that we the Sahaja Yogis feel heavy at the end of the day. When we go out in our daily lives many souls who are unable to take a birth (they are st...
